MDGMS MEMBERSHIP Membership to the Mojave Desert Gem and Mineral Society is open to anyone regardless of age or place of residence. Membership consists of three classes: Active, Junior and Honorary. Active: Those who take an active part in the work of the Society. Junior: Persons 10 to 18 years of age. Junior members must be sponsored by a parent, guardian, or a member in good standing. Honorary: Persons who have achieved eminence in the science of mineralogy or allied subjects, or who have rendered this Society meritorious service. DUES: Annual membership runs from January 1st to December 31st with dues payable January 1st each year. Dues become delinquent on March 1st. Junior members do not have voting privileges. Active: $20.00 Junior: $10.00 (ages 10 to 18) Honorary: $0.00 MEMBERSHIP ENTITLEMENTS: Discount on tools, supplies, and equipment at Diamond Pacific Displaying at the MDGMS Annual Gem and Mineral Show Educational Classes, DVDs, Speakers and Videos Equipment Instruction and Usage Field Trips (does not cover individual field trip expenses) Gold Pan Discounts on Rock and Mineral Specimens Library Usage at Clubhouse Monthly "Desert Diggins" Newsletter Monthly Doorprize Drawings Silent Auction Participation Social - Annual Barbecue Social - Christmas Party Social - Summer Ice Cream Social Workshop Participation and Instruction All these benefits for only $20.00 adults and $10.00 juniors annually HOW TO JOIN: New members are welcome anytime.
