WorkshopWorkshop

DATE:    Third Friday of each month (even in dark months)
TIME:    6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
PLACE:  25647 W. Main Street, Barstow, CA 92311

Our regular monthly workshops are scheduled for the third Friday of the month, and generally are held through the summer when the regular meetings are dark. Members work on various projects, either their own or for the club.

CRAFTS:

We offer craft classes where you can learn to make jewelry, resin pictures, beaded spiders, wire gem trees, etc. These are some of the items offered on the wheel-of-fortune at our annual Gem and Mineral show.

SHOP USE:

Our club maintains a variety of lapidary equipment; seven Genies, one 14 inch oil saw, and two water trim saws. During workshop hours, a shop coordinator is there to assist with the equipment or if you have experience using the equipment, you can work independently. Visitors are welcome to use the machines under the supervision of the shop coordinator the first time; otherwise the machines are for members only. There are no fees for equipment use.

There is always a club member available to assist with the equipment. Collectively, our members have a wealth of experience, knowledge, and talent which they are always willing to share with beginners and advanced users alike.
